İsmail Çelik has been active as a contractor in the construction field since 1986. In 1991 the organizational structure of the group was changed into İsmail Çelik Const. Ind. & Trade Co.Ltd.

The company has comprehensive experience especially in the construction of dams, tunnels, pumping stations, irrigation networks, drainage systems, water and sewerage pipelines, treatment plants as well as housing and industrial buildings. The company is also able to undertake pipelines, highways, hydropower plants, airports and other environmental infrastructure projects.

As a result of Turkey’s increasing energy demand, the company has decided to contribute grow of the energy infrastructure of the country. This will take place through a subsidiary company, IC-EN Elektrik Üretim ve Tic. A.Ş. with its experience and trained labour force, which will invest in and build facilities for the generation of electricity using hydro-electric power, natural gas and other energy sources.

Since its foundation several employer associations, chambers of industry and tax offices with numerous letters of appreciations have recognized the company. In addition, the company has the following memberships to the national and international organizations:
